Efficient livestock marketing is important for producer returns and consumer welfare. This study analyzed beef cattle marketing in Bauchi State. Data were collected from 60 cattle producers, 40 itinerant traders, 30 wholesalers, and 25 butchers. Four main marketing channels were identified with varying complexity. Marketing margins ranged from 28% to 42% of consumer price. The producer share of consumer price ranged from 52% to 65% depending on channel. Market concentration was low at producer and butcher levels but moderate at wholesale. Marketing efficiency ranged from 58% to 72%. Constraints included high transportation costs, multiple taxation, and cattle rustling. Recommendations include reducing market levies and improving security along marketing routes.
