Organic food markets are emerging in Nigerian urban areas. This study analyzed demand for organic vegetables in Abuja FCT. Data were collected from 300 consumers using structured questionnaires and contingent valuation method. Results showed that 28% of consumers were aware of organic vegetables and 12% had purchased them. Mean willingness to pay premium was 35% above conventional vegetable prices. Factors significantly influencing demand included income level, education, health consciousness, and perception of food safety concerns. Major barriers to organic consumption were high prices (68%), limited availability (52%), and lack of certification (45%).
